Unable to change the type for mweb in Messaging Channels (sys_cs_channel)

Hello All,

I need to configure asynchronous chat for the web channel and I am following the steps from:

 

Configure asynchronous chat for the web channel (servicenow.com)

 

Unfortunately I don't have an option to choose 'messaging' type for mweb, only chat/email/phone/self-service/walk-up/teams call are available. In Form Builder for mweb the messaging is set as default value.

How can I change it to 'messaging'?

Hi @Martyna,

I experienced same issue, even with latest plugins installed. You can try to add the Messaging option to sys_choice list table but at the end you still wont be able to turn on async chat feature, at least it did not work for us. If you add it manually(that is what also SN suggested) chat will break, end user will see message: Connecting to available agent , waiting time less than 1 minute... and nothing will happen in SOW. Agent wont get any message.

 

We experienced same issue, we have created task for Servicenow.
