I’m curious about how others are tracking internally created APIs, services, and websites in their CMDB.
Did you use an out-of-the-box (OOB) class, or did you create a custom class for this?
If you went the custom route, what did you name it, and what key details are you tracking?
I’ve been searching for information on this but haven’t found much, and I imagine a lot of folks are dealing with the same challenge.
Would love to hear how you approached this!

Hi @jtim28413
ServiceNow CMDB is vast and offers a number of classes, so first things first—stick to as much OOTB (out-of-the-box) functionality as you can. It’s easier to maintain and upgrade. For services, CSDM (Common Service Data Model) is the best approach to follow.
