Welcome, you may have heard about all the great things ServiceNow is doing around ERP Modernization or just curious about the best way to integrate ServiceNow with your SAP ECC or S/4HANA system. Lucky for you, there’s an app for that!
This short blog will guide you on everything you need to know to get ERP Canvas (formally known as ERP Data Hub) installed on your ServiceNow Instance.
Note: This blog does not cover MID server and SAP / ERP specific configuration steps that need to be completed after the store app install.
Prerequisites:
- A license or entitlement to ERP Data Hub / ERP Canvas for installation (for more information, see Licensing)
- Access to a ServiceNow Instance (Non-PDI)
- Admin role assigned to user doing the installation
- The plugins listed below are required prior to installing ERP Canvas:
- Validate plugins installed are installed by navigating to Application Manager > Filter by Plugins > Installed

For details, see ERP Data Hub / ERP Canvas Release Notes and ensure that you have selected the correct version (for example, Xanadu or Yokohama).
Instance Installation Steps
- Navigate to Application Manager using one of the following paths:
- Admin Center > Application Manager
- System Applications > Studio > All Available Applications > All
- Admin Center > Application Manager
- Search for ERP Canvas, ERP Data Hub, or sn_erp_integration.
- Select ERP Canvas or ERP Data Hub.
- Select Install.
- Validate that all dependencies are installed.
- Select Install.
Installation takes approximately 10-20 minutes. You can run the install process in the background. - When installation completes, select View Details.
- Confirm that the application is installed.
- Validate that the application is available in the application list.
Congratulations, you’ve successfully installed ERP Canvas!
Next steps:
- After you install ERP Canvas, you must enable the sn_erp_integration.enableModelModification property so users can customize ERP models.
- Type sys_properties.list in the application list filter navigator and press enter on your keyboard.
- Search for sn_erp_integration.enableModelModification and select the name to open the record.
- If you are prompted to change scopes in order to edit the record, select the here link.
- In the Value field, change the text to true and select Update.
