How, Global Search is configured in Employee center home page

Hi All,

In the employee center home Page, we are having "Global Search" functionality....Like....

Now, when I move to any specific page as mentioned below, I can able to see the "Global Search" shifted to upper side...I want to know, how to is working in the backend (functionality)...??????
