Hi @Debbie Alexande,

If you want users to open ServiceNow, change requests directly from Jira -yes, it’s possible. Things to consider before you begin:

  • What triggers a change request? Will it be a specific issue type, status change, or label in Jira?
  • What info needs to flow? Just title and description, or additional fields like risk, impact, assignee, and attachments?
  • How often should it sync? Real-time, in transition, or via scheduled batch?
  • Who owns the change once it enters ServiceNow? Think about ownership and updates flowing back.

If your goal is for users to stay in Jira while automatically triggering and linking change requests in ServiceNow, you’ll need a proper integration setup, —not just a webhook or script.

You may consider exploring OpsHub Integration Manager (Free) Community Edition which can:

  • Trigger and sync change requests from Jira to ServiceNow
  • Keep updates and comments in sync
  • Preserve full traceability for audits
  • No plugins, no constant manual fixes -—just a clean, connected workflow.

The best part is you can start syncing the systems with OIM Community Edition immediately without requiring a license.

OpsHub is both a ServiceNow and Atlassian Partner and has been helping organizations sync their systems seamlessly for over two decades.

Hope it helps! 🙂
