ServiceNow licensing for Custom Applications

Hi,

How does ServiceNow charges for custom applications? We need to develop tables, modules, ACLs, etc.

Similarly, if we create new table/module/ACLs in scoped application (e.g. ITOM/EA), does ServiceNow charges for anything but storage?

The only authoritative answer you can get from this is from your sales rep.
GENERALLY, custom applications come at a per user license (though there may be exceptions)
GENERALLY, it doesn't matter what building blocks you're using... unless you need some premium feature that would be baked into the core platform price (meaning you either would have bought it or not by this point).
GENERALLY, storage is built into the base platform price, but SOMETIMES there are fees if you exceed a certain (very high) limit.

Having said that, there are many many many different contracts out there.  So you've got to talk to your rep.

ServiceNow charges for custom applications through an App Engine (Platform Runtime) license and by using custom table entitlements (tables count against your quota unless exempt or bundled in a paid Store app), and creating tables/modules/ACLs in a scoped application still consumes entitlement beyond storage if used by licensed users..

It's kind of an unwritten rule—whenever it's about Knowledge Base (KB), it's best to speak with your ServiceNow account representative. He or she is the best person to guide you on this.
