UI Builder Lists Filters Configuration "Sticking"

I have a weird thing developed on a simple dashboard-like portal that we've developed in UI Builder.  The eventual goal of this experience is to provide VIP stakeholders with some simple metrics on their department's ITSM tickets (e.g., score with active incidents, request items that are on hold "awaiting caller").  Included are two simple lists with a list of active and recently resolved INCs; the resolved list is the one we're running an issue on.  The fixed filter is configured with a query like "resolved on last 30 days AND Department = <some department>.  However, there are no records found on the widget when there are records that fit that query.  

 

When we've swapped out the simple list for a "regular" list widget, the results are the same but, looking at the filter on that widget we can see that our query has been amended so the query is now includes "active = true" when that was not how the widget was configured.  We've looked at the ACLs, at other tables and using other browsers and such but, each time, the filters are not in sync.  

 

This is just still a proof-of-concept for us but my concern is that it's pointing to something deeper going on either with UIB or some related component.  

 

Anyone else seeing anything like this?
