We are Planning to archive records from the Incident and Change tables.  We have the following questions that needs your guidance.

 

  • Performance impact when the process runs
  • Duration to archive the records ( we have plenty of records)
  • Process to follow when archiving large data set
  • Export archive to an external store like S3

Any help on the above questions will be useful for us in moving forward.

Before archiving, i suggest you make use of a non-prod instance to test the performance and the process.
If you're concerned about the volume of records to archive, set a smaller batch at a time.
