I have a customer that is implementing Digital Product Release Management. They currently manage their business services and application services in their respective tables. With the DPR data model, it requires those CI class' to be digital products. I found this job reading through the docs that might have what I'm looking for. Is my assumption correct? Anyone that has implemented DPR before how did you leverage the product-level capabilities with business/app services?

Hi Kevin, You're right. If the customer is already using Business Application or Business Service tables, we recommend running the schedule job specified in the doc if you want a quick way to do it. As the document points out, the schedule job does not do a great job of mapping the right model id if you have duplicate names.
You'll be able to do this manually within DPR in our upcoming update (safe harbor applies)
Thanks,
Balaji

Hi @Kevin Tran
Yes, that's 100% correct. When using DPR, it's best to stay within that workspace and utilize the out-of-the-box (OOTB) process for creating products and other related tasks directly from DPR.

Does the scheduled job work to generate business services, application services as application product models in turn populate the cmdb_application_model table to be used in DPR?

Sorry this is not what I was referring to. I provided a link in the original post. If my customer is using application services, business services today, is this the scheduled job that I would execute so I can populate the DPR product table with my app services? https://www.servicenow.com/docs/bundle/xanadu-servicenow-platform/page/product/csdm-implementation/t...
