Need to understand Servicenow KB and article permissions.

I want to understand more about these 3 system properties 

 

  1. glide.knowman.search.apply_role_based_security 
  1. glide.knowman.block_access_with_no_user_criteria 
  2. glide.knowman.apply_article_read_criteria 

I build a search solution , if we do not honor these system properties. what data leak scenarios we can expect.
