Kabria Holmes is a ServiceNow Business Analyst. Before learning about ServiceNow, she worked as an executive assistant while doing her Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration. However, she still didn’t feel fulfilled. Her real goal was to get into the technology industry, but she had very little IT knowledge or experience. Then, Kabria learned about a free ServiceNow bootcamp offered as part of the RiseUp with ServiceNow program. She says that the four-month bootcamp was a great experience and helped her to quickly secure her current position at New Rocket. Now, she enthuses that her new ServiceNow career is everything she hoped for, and she feels that a void has been filled in her life. And she wants to give back, showing other people like that it’s possible to build a rewarding technology career, no matter what your background.

Taking a chance on something new
Before learning about ServiceNow, Kabria worked as a contract executive assistant and program coordinator while doing her Bachelor's degree in Business Administration at the University of Maryland. She knew she wanted to get into the technology industry, but she had very little IT knowledge and experience. Then Kabria learned about a free ServiceNow bootcamp hosted by TechBridge as part of the RiseUp with ServiceNow program, and she signed up. Kabria says that the bootcamp was a great experience, providing a strong introduction to ServiceNow and IT Service Management. She also credits the instructors with giving her the support and guidance she needed to succeed.
A career that finally fits
Kabria’s introduction to ServiceNow marked a turning point in her career. She embraced the opportunity to learn new skills, including ServiceNow administration and implementation. The bootcamp gave her the confidence and expertise to successfully transition into the tech industry. Shortly after completing the program, she secured a role as a Business Analyst at NewRocket, where she helps clients streamline their business processes. Reflecting on her journey, Kabria shares how her new career filled a void she didn’t realize existed, providing both personal fulfillment and professional growth in a field she loves.
Turning progress into purpose
And Kabria knows this is just the start. She's become a Certified ServiceNow Administrator, and she's currently preparing to take her ServiceNow ITSM Certified Implementation Specialist (CIS) exam. Her ultimate goal is to become an advocate for her community. She says she wants to inspire people in her community and show them that it's very much possible to transition into technology and make a name for yourself.
