Need to rewrite the knowledge base name while creating new knowledge article

When creating a knowledge article via the All > Knowledge > Articles > Create New menu and selecting a knowledge base, you are prompted to choose the appropriate template and click Next.

At this stage, you are asked to fill in the knowledge base name again.

Since a specific template is tied to a particular knowledge base, the system should automatically populate the knowledge base field. The user would only need to select the category afterwards.

Any suggestions or feedback would be greatly appreciated.

Hi AG, thanks for the response. I have few custom build templates which are used across 2-3 different Knowledge bases. What I have noticed is, although I choose a knowledge base and template, after clicking on 'NEXT', again, it asks me to choose the Knowledge bases from these 2/3 for which the templates are shared. 

My understanding is, if I have already chosen the knowledge base, that should appear automatically, although should be editable. Any advise will be really appreciated!

What do you mean by a custom build template? Could you share the steps to create these templates? Are you referring to the Template table or the Knowledge template table? I'd like to try it on my end as well.

I am referring Knowledge>Article Template. Which will be creating template in kb_article_template table.
