Add SCTask and RITM to related records for SOW Change records

We would like to add a way to attach Request(RITM) and Tasks(Sctask) to the Related records of Changes in the SOW.

Is there an easy OOB setting to change or would this be a more customized related list creation?

Thanks

There’s no simple OOB setting for this in Change SOW.

Recommended approach:

  • create a real relationship between change_request and:
    • sc_req_item
    • sc_task

Example:

u_change_request

Then expose them as related lists / workspace related records.

Without a relationship, it becomes a UI Builder customization.

I built the relationship in Sys def > relationship, but where do i expose the related list?

After creating the relationship, expose it in one of these places:

Classic Form

Open a Change record → right click header → Configure → Related Lists
Add your new relationship related list there.

Workspace / SOW

Go to:

  • UI Builder
  • Open Change Workspace / SOW page
  • Find the Related Records / Related Lists component
  • Add your relationship/list as a data source

Sometimes you also need to add it in:

Workspace Form Configuration

depending on the workspace version.

If it doesn’t appear automatically in SOW, that part usually requires a small workspace customization.

Hi @SeanGalbraith

In Native view,

1. First Select scope as Change management for Service operation Workspace

2. Open a Change record-> add regular related list configuration-> select the "Service Operations Workspace" view ->add  Requested item->parent & Catalog task->Parent related list to the right-side slush bucket for both RITM and SC task. Check the screen shot

You can see In SOW , under Change request Related records, Requested Item and Catalog task has been added.
