I have recently started to explore Now Assist's CI Summaries capabilities in Xanadu.

Here are some of my observations -

1. The initial Summary was as below " The CI 'xxxxx' is a Windows Server with the latest discovery timestamp. The most recent discovery source that updated the CI is not provided. There are 6 high-priority change requests associated with this CI. No incidents, problems, alerts, or services are currently associated with this CI."

This data was accurate.

2. Now I went ahead and added a new incident to this CI and the response generated from LLM was accurate as well.

"The CI 'xxxxx' is a Windows Server with the latest discovery timestamp. The most recent discovery source that updated the CI is not specified in the provided information. There are 1 incident of priority '5 - Planning' and a total of 6 change requests with priority '2 - High'. No problems, alerts, or services are associated with this CI."

The only misleading information was that as this CI was never auto discovered, the LLM could have ignored mention of discovery timestamp.

3. What are the future possibilities I see?

While the OOB CI Summarization skill is useful, we can definitely go ahead and created a more robust skill that can also provide details around my top applications, services etc. that this CI supports. The cost information is also a good attribute to be had in response (though this information might be on Asset side of the house).

4. Where do I find these particularly useful?

It makes life easier for CI owners and other Infra engineers when you have a load balancer supporting 100's of services and when you provide specific context to LLM to have only that information to be returned that is useful for you. Possibilities are endless for the IT teams with this useful feature.
