Architecture of CMDB

Hi community;

I want to understand the complete architecture of CMDB, and if we want to use service Mapping, how we can customize according to clients services requirement.

A diagram showing complete architecture of CMDB is not feasible as there are too many tables. You can go to 'CI class manager' module to view the complete list of CI classes, their hierarchy and the details for individual classes like attributes, CI list, identification & reconciliation rules etc. 

The following URL has details about service mapping set up. 'Discovery' needs to be in set up before service mapping is configured.

Hi, ServiceMapping is helping for Application Services. First you should understand the client system architecture. Howmany simple, medium and complex things are there. you should separate it. Understand the architecture ie., Applicationlayer, cluster layer, database layer etc., get the root access and configure it to ServiceMappings areas and discover it,

If required create additional attributes not solves the OOB attributes. Refer servicenow docs for understanding, use partner portal access to get learn mor things
