Hi,
I need help with a practical, easy-to-build workaround for this issue that can be easily transitioned once the CMDB is built.
Company ABC is using a basic version of ServiceNow and is currently building a CMDB. The problem is that change management is affected because the impact service isn't set up correctly due to missing or incorrect services/config items. Additionally, the conflict calendar doesn't show when a services/cis affected by another change. How can we manually build something for T0 and T1 applications to address this?

Hi @CarolMa6
I worked as a Change Manager, so I understand your pain here. If I may say, there is no temporary solution for this. It's better to focus on a strategic and permanent solution, though I understand that it will take time.
What you can do is use an Excel sheet to track which changes are happening at what time. This way, when adding a new change, you can check if it's conflicting or not.
Also, have you checked the change conflict properties? They can help detect change conflicts in CI.
If my response proves useful, please indicate its helpfulness by selecting " Accept as Solution" and " Helpful." This action benefits both the community and me.
