CDSM reports not accurate for Application Services

Russell Abbott

I have a requirement to make sure that Application Services have relationships to Business Applications where appropriate. I'm working through the Get Well playbooks for CMBD/CSDM and part of that process involves installing the CMDB/CSDM Data Foundations Dashboards.

I got them installed, ran the indicator jobs to populate, but I'm not seeing what I was expecting. See below

This first report shows 0 for App Services Missing Business App Relationships. But I know that to not be the case. I have many.

The 'sn_getwell_app_svc_missing_biz_app' table is empty.

If I look on the Application Service Dashboard it shows the total number of Application Services without a Business Application here, 136.

To add to the confusion, if I fix an Application Service by creating the correct relationship with the rightful Business App, it still appears in the 136 results here.

Am I missing something as to how these reports work or what they're reporting on?

Hey Russell, just checking if you reviewed the Playbook for that Metric, and did you check the relationship type & direction of those to Services?

This is the playbook I went through

Is that the one you're referencing? Or is there more to be done for those indicators?

Thanks

I marked as solved because the Playbook is essential. My problem however was impatience, I looked today and everything is populated, turns out there must have been some scheduled collections jobs that had not yet run.

Thanks!
