Hi
Is it possible to show what Rack Unit a device is located in.
We have loaded our Data Centers and Rack information and we are now adding our devices to each of our Racks in the cmdb_ci_rack table. But I cannot see where/how I specify what RU location each device is physically located in.
Thanking you so much in advance! 🙂

Hi @Nicole Bell ,
You can use relationship to show in which Rack a system is located in.
I am attaching the screenshot for all the Suggested relations available from racks.
Thanks and Regards,

Thanks Prabhjot, I have created some relationships to show devices in a rack but I wanted to show the specific rack unit where the device is located within the rack. Sounds like from the below it isn't possible but I'm checking.

@Nicole Bell There isn't anything out of the box for tracking rack elevation. There are a couple of (paid) apps in the appstore that offer this though.

Thanks Steve - just to be sure I've understood you right, OOTB we can only show a relationship from the CI to the rack, and NOT what specific RU in the rack that CI is located?
