We wanted to track Completeness and correctness for all major CI classes and I have challenges to track this for Virtual and Physical Servers since both are residing in the same place i.e) cmdb_ci_server, Operating System layer- cmdb_ci_win_server, cmdb_ci_linux_server etc.
Scenario : I am unable to apply mandatory attributes since the requirement is different. For Physical servers, we need Manufacturer, Serial Number etc but this should't be applied to virtual machines.
Should I use virtual machine instance table to track *& apply KPI for virtual machines? Even in this case I am missing some key attributes like Operating system, core, CPU type etc.
Please suggest the best possible way to track the health check for Virtual and Physical servers.
