Good evening ServiceNow Community!
I am currently working on a weird issue pertaining to view rights for dashboard reports. Originally, we had created a custom role that contained the cmdb_read role and then gave Everyone with that custom role view access to the report. This worked successfully. What we are trying to do is convert that custom role over to a custom group with the same cmdb_read role which would be more uniform with our dashboards. Unfortunately, we have ran into a problem where those in that group are not inheriting that cmdb_read role which is giving the "Access to this content denied based on report_view ACLs" error for certain reports that need the cmdb_read role. The report pulls from the cmdb_ci_computer table.
Why is the cmdb_read role not inheriting through the group but inherits through a custom role?
