cmdb to application table

Hi CMDB Query Gurus,

I have a query against the cmdb ci table that correctly returns 41 records for a specific location (image1).  When I add the Application class no rows are returned because that table is empty (image2).  Is it possible to add that class to the query and retain the 41 records in the results?  If a Business Application doesn't exist simply return a null value.  Similar to an outer join in a relational database.  Please let me know if you think this is possible.
