I’m currently trying to discover my home router a FritzBox 7490 using a MID Server on my local machine (zip file install), but I’m running into some roadblocks. This device doesn’t appear to support traditional SMTP/SNMP-based discovery methods I’ve found, it exposes management interfaces via TR-064 (SOAP/UPnP). The MID can see the device (ping/IP is fine), but Discovery isn’t able to actually connect to gather CI info.
Has anyone had any luck discovering FritzBox (or similar devices)?
- Am I right in thinking this would need a custom approach?
- If so, would you go custom pattern, SOAP probe, or IntegrationHub/API ingestion instead?
- Anything obvious I should be checking on the MID/logs side?
At the moment it just feels like Discovery doesn’t know what to do with it. Appreciate any advice — even if it’s just “don’t bother, do it another way”
