Hi All,
I wanted to know how most recent discovery get populated in CMDB. How do we derive the date details for a particular hostname ? how an asset is populated through integration? How ServiceNow get the most recent discovery date and time for an asset? How does ServiceNow detect the asset for the “most recent discovery” date and time details ?
It will be helpful if you could explain or suggest any article for this .
Thank You

The KB linked below will give you some high-level background on Discovery that might answer some of your questions. Past that, I would suggest completing the CMDB Fundamentals learning course.

Hi @1_DipikaD g,
Are you familiar with the setup of discovery in regards to probes / patterns and discovery schedules?
If not, I would recommend you to take some of the free training available from ServiceNow in relation to Discovery.
If my answer has helped with your question, please mark my answer as the accepted solution and give a thumbs up.
Best regards
