We are wanting to group a clusters resources by the Role they are in, the issue we have right now is that we can't figure out how to store the resource group (aka Role in Microsoft Cluster) information in ServiceNow.
So here's an example, We have a single Microsoft Cluster that has three roles that resources are assigned to but in ServiceNow the roles are not stored in a cluster CI, so can we assign multiple resources to one role within ServiceNow? Right now I only see the ability to store resources for a cluster, no grouping available in ServiceNow. Thanks
Here's what I'm trying to do:
- ClusterABC (cmdb_ci_win_cluster)
- Role1 (no CI found for this data)
- Resource1 (cmdb_ci_cluster_resource as resource type of volume manager disk group)
- Resource2 (cmdb_ci_cluster_resource as resource type of volume manager disk group)
- Resource3 (cmdb_ci_cluster_resource as resource type of volume manager disk group)
- Role1 (no CI found for this data)
- Resource4 (cmdb_ci_cluster_resource as resource type of volume manager disk group)
- Resource5 (cmdb_ci_cluster_resource as resource type of volume manager disk group)
- Resource6 (cmdb_ci_cluster_resource as resource type of volume manager disk group)
- Role1 (no CI found for this data)
