How to exclude items in CI and should not be visible on Change tickets?

Hi guys!

Apologies as I am not well verse in CMDB and CI so I need help.

Some CI's that are not suppose to be visible are still showing under the "AFFECTED CI's" tab in our Change tickets.

We have a System Property in place to filter those CI but I'm not sure why it doesn't work. Here's the system property:

This is a custom system property, so what do you have in place on the Affected CI related list to include/exclude these CI classes?  Do you have something on the List Control or default filter?

Hi @Brad Bowman  thanks for responding, I am actually not familiar with that. Where can I check the filter on the Affected CI tab?

Note that you don't need to define a custom property for this.  The prescribed way to indicate which CIs should be available on Changes and Incidents is to define those classes by checking the "Principal Class" checkbox in CI Class Manager, and then use the appropriate reference qualifiers that are provided out of the box for filtering those CIs.

This is the existing configuration of my client and they don't want to change it.  Can you show me where I can find that? I'm not really familiar with the CI/CMDB stuff.
