How are records in SCCM when servicenow CI is set to retired? are they deleted so that import never

We want the computer object in SCCM to be deleted when the CI is set to retired in Servicenow. want to know how is this managed generally?

Generally, ServiceNow should not directly delete computers in SCCM.

The common pattern is:

  • CI is set to Retired in ServiceNow

  • ServiceNow sends a decommission request to SCCM

  • SCCM validates and deletes the device after a delay ( 30–90 days)

This avoids accidental deletion and re-creation by discovery.
Simply: ServiceNow signals intent; SCCM owns and executes the deletion.
