We currently have discovery inactive until we get new IP ranges for it.
I need to manually load a group of Switches into the CMDB for use with Vital View monitoring.
There are switches that have the same IP but different serial numbers, hence they are all different physical devices but since they are part of a stack they are seen as one virtual device.
What is the best method for loading these into the CMDB so that it causes no issues with discovery when we turn it back on?

First verify that the identification rules are defined properly for the CI class. This can be done by opening the required class on the 'CI class manager' and clicking on the 'Identification rule's tab. Modify the identifier entries if needed. Then perform the data load using integration hub ETL in order to ensure that the data load will consider the identification rules. Discovery will always consider the identification rules for each CI class while populating data. So when Discovery runs, it will identify the existing CIs based on the identification rules and then update them.
