Is there a way to make CMDB discovery mandatory for servers

Has anyone engineered a solution where there is a mandatory policy to ensure servers are in the CMDB before they are allowed on the network or allow users to access their resources ?

Scenario:  I would like to ensure that all servers are discovered and up to date and accurate in the CMDB - I dont want unknown servers to be missed.

Business requirement : ensure there are no security gaps or servers running an unknown patching level.

I am assuming this would involve some server side configuration or a 3rd party app to do this ?

It is a process which you need to build. Assume that you have catalog item to get the a new server. Now it should have proper task to open the port and add the credentials as soon as it pnroviosned. Also it should get IP from the pool which you have defined on the discovery IP range. With this the device will be discover in the next schedule run. Other solution is ACC. You will need to install the agents and it will keep sending the updates to instance via mid server.
