is_virtual field or specific class ?

Hello all,

I have virtual machines hosted on ESX servers (on-premise) and virtual machines hosted in the cloud (AWS AZURE...). What does the "is_virtual" checkbox mean? Is it used to specify that a virtual instance is hosted on a physical server ? Or is it just a quick way of specifying that a server is virtual, whether it's hosted in the cloud or on a physical server?

As after making it true it did not validate any field / class.

It is just a flag used to indicate virtual machines. i.e. If 'is virtual' is set to true for a CI, it is supposed to indicate that the CI is a virtual machine. The following KB article has some more details about this flag:
