Mandatory field in CMDB

Hi Team

I want some fields to be mandatory while creating CI/Server, when we create a new Server we have lots of field in that i want to make some fields mandatory, can you suggest me on this

Hi @Rajesh77 ,

 

As mentioned by @ramona not recommended to make field mandatory on form. If you still want you can simply use ui policy and define ui policy action to make your target field mandatory.

 

When working with Configuration Items (CIs) in ServiceNow, it is generally not recommended to set attributes as mandatory fields. Instead, recommended fields are preferred for CI attributes. This approach aligns with best practices for managing CIs and ensures a more flexible and user-friendly experience when dealing with CI data.
