Hi Shohaib,
You will find the OOTB processes for Normal, Standard and Emergency change requests are generally unchanged, in spite of the move to the new Change Models. What has changed is ease with which you can create and configure different types of change requests. That is, the implementation is different, better! May I recommend the following sources for learning:
- Upgrade to Multimodal Change (short course on Now Learning)
Essentially, when upgrading, you have the choice to use the old change model simultaneously with the new one, or switch over entirely. You will need to change some system properties as well modify the start conditions of your change workflows if you are going to persist using them. The above course details all the steps needed. - Breaking the Change Barrier (blog post by one of our technical architects, Greg Morrison)
A good summary of the new change models. - K21 Achieve Velocity at Scale with Multimodal Change
A lab from Knowledge 21. - ITSM Implementation
Our technical training course, that goes into detail about implementing change models.

Hi...the 'Achieve Velocity...' and 'Upgrade to Multimodal Change' are both very good sessions, highly recommended. Unfortunately, they are going away. Is there any way we can get the full transcript from those courses published? Some of the audience here is hearing impaired and would read along with the transcript as the video played...but that can't be copied out and saved. So can we get that full transcript to keep for reference? It's so much better explained than the official docs, much easier to follow!
Thanks!
