[Problem with] Discovery Fundamentals: On Demand, Module 7 Task: Create Asset Record

Hello everyone.

I just recently got my CSA and now doing Discovery Fundamentals On Demand class for ITOM (Xanadu).

I am now in "Module 7. Create Asset Record," and have followed every step of the instruction; however, upon validating my progress validation failed. I tried to re-run the instructions but still failed. Does anybody ever experience this? I appreciate any help with this problem and would love to hear your opinion. Thank you!

Hope you're using the correct user (important) if required.

Sometimes, it could be a data issue.

Also, since it failed, there should be a hyperlink at the top showing what's missing while creating this. Please share that screenshot.

Hi, I have the same issue. The communicate for me is "Did you copy and paste the Name into the Field Description". I did copy the description ("ASSET123 - Dell Inc. Alienware M17x") to appropriate CI [cmdb_ci_computer] - field Description [short_description], but the task fails

Hi, I am having a similar problem,

The assignment is:

From Asset > Portfolios > Hardware Assets, create a new record using the following information:

• Model Category:Computer
• Model: Dell Inc. Alienware M17x
• Asset tag: ASSET123
• Serial Number: SERIAL123

Save the record and complete the following requirements:

• In the asset record, copy and paste the Display Name into the Comments field, then save the record.

Then:

• Navigate to Configuration > Base Items > Computers and search for the configuration item you just created.
• In the Assigned to field, add Abel Tuter and save the record.

and

• Navigate to Asset > Portfolios > Hardware Assets and search for the asset you just created.
• Verify the Assigned to field of the asset displays Abel Tuter.

I did all of the instructions. From both records (copied below) everything seems to be correct, however I continue to get the message when I validate "Did you create the New Computer CI and assign it to Abel Tuter. I did both. The CI shows under Configuration and Asset and Abel Tuter shows assigned in both lists. I thought maybe I need to sync my learning module, so I logged out of the SNOWU and back on, same issue. Any advice?
