I see there are 2 contradictory statements:
1. During matching, the identification engine filters out any CI that is tagged as duplicate of any CI.
2. For a duplicate CI, if any of the CI's attributes, other than duplicate_of, is updated by IRE processing, then the CI is no longer considered a duplicate CI. In that situation, the value of duplicate_of is cleared in the CI.
Question:
1st line means, for CI identification, those records which are marked as duplicate, will not be considered by IRE.
2nd line says, if duplicate CI is updated by IRE, then the duplicate of field is cleared. So how will duplicate CI be udpated by IRE? this is contrary to 1st line right?
