What is the relationship type between OT asset and Equipment model entity?

The correct relationship is: Parent (Equipmentmodel) Automated by::Automates Child (OT Entity)
You could create this relationship manually, but you could also use the workspace "Manufacturing Process Manager". There you can add the OT assets. More informations you can find here.
Hint: The OT asset is only visible, when the Equ. Model and the OT entity are in the same side.
Hint 2: The creation of the relationship will also fill the related list "OT assets" from the Equ. model.

I am not able to provide you a dedicated source. To find the answer to your question I just added the OT asset to the equipment model as it was describe in the ServiceNow documentation. Afterwards I opened the dependency view to check out the OOTB relationship which was created.
