Hello, everyone,
Has anyone had experience with integrating ServiceNow and Solarwinds? I'm looking to explore integration using the following methods:
1. ServiceNow Graph Connector for Solarwinds.
2. SolarWind Alert application.
3. REST APIs (I don't have high expectations, but any insights would be appreciated).
Is there a way I can replicate this setup on my laptop to gain a better understanding of the ServiceNow and Solarwinds integration?
Thank you,
Mahesh.

Hi,
I'd recommend searching a bit as this sort of integration isn't uncommon and there's been some good discussion about this previously that will help you get started quickly. SolarWinds themselves has documentation too, such as this: https://documentation.solarwinds.com/en/success_center/orionplatform/content/core-alert-integrate-se...
Please consider marking my reply as Helpful and/or Accept Solution, if applicable. Thanks!

Hi,
I would recommend the Service Graph Connector and a prober Event Integration, this will help you cut down the number on Incidents created.
The Solarwind Alert application will create a Incident per Alert generated and exported from Solarwind, this can be helpful but not in the same way that you uttialize the Alert grouping and AIOps functions to help identify problems and keep the number of Incidents low.
But in any case if you are importing any form of CI data you should make sure the integration goes through the Identification and Reconciliation Engine (IRE) - The Service Graph is all using the IRE. If you are going to build something on a Rest API please consider using IntegrationHub ETL which is the underlying technology used in Service Graph Connectors.
Hope this helps
