Retire a C.I. and the Child C.I.'s are not updating

Hi Folks,

When I retire a C.I., the child relationships do not update. For instance, when I retire a computer, the child hard drive does not also mark retired. This seems like it should be automated. What am I missing?

Is their a OOTB rule for this that is perhaps turned off in my instance?

I was able to find the answer to this. OOTB, parent C.I. retirement does not retire child C.I.'s. See KB0696084
