Hello,
Trying to perform discovery for linux server which is hardware appliance getting credential issue
1.Getting SSH credential issue - When checked with team internally they said not allowed to configure user account at device end
2.when tried with SNMP only - credential got successful but discovery completed without CI update and discovery status says > Active, couldn't classify ,identification phase not triggered
Can someone please help
Thank you

Hi @jack33 ,
You cannot discover Linux servers through SNMP protocol, as there are no classifiers or process defined to discovery Linux servers through SNMP.
I would suggest you revisit the Linux credentials deployment to have a non-root credentials for discovery purpose.
I am attaching docs for Linux discovery in case you haven't gone through it yet, this explains what is required to discover Linux server.
