Hi

I had a Requirement

I want to add a new field in all the forms for determining Tax Situation in Brazil.

- We would like to create a new field  named "Tax Situation".
- The field will be a dropdown with the following options:
 000 – Full Taxation
 410- immunity and Non-Incidence
The default value for the field will be None (whatever is used throughout the rest of the form)
- This field should be mandatory and visible at all times. It will be editable when the form is editable.

The field they are asking to locate on MRVS table
For this already we are having one variable set for the fields..we are creating the fields in variables and adding in the variable set

But they are asking for only it will visible in row level visibility not on editing the MRVS table
Can we do it the field will visible only for brazil country not for other countries in the row level

@YaswanthReM

you can't show/hide variables at row level in MRVS if you are referring to below image on RITM or Catalog form

You can try to use DOM manipulation but it's not recommended practice

Yes my Friend, this is possible, with one ServiceNow limitation to be aware of.

You can show the “Tax Situation” field only at the MRVS row level and only when Country = Brazil, and make it mandatory in that case. This is done by adding the field to the MRVS and using Row UI Policies:

  • If Country = Brazil → field visible and mandatory

  • If Country ≠ Brazil → field hidden and not mandatory

However, ServiceNow does not support different visibility rules inside the MRVS table editor itself—row-level behavior applies to the catalog form UI, not separately to the grid editor.

In normal practice, this meets the requirement: the field appears only for Brazil rows and is ignored for all others.
