Unable to update CMDB workspace to latest version in PDI because it says to install 'UX Commons: from store.
How on earth can PDI be linked to store? 😕

I had a similar situation when I tried to install Digital Portfolio Management. I was able to solve the problem by navigating to "UX Commons" app from the Application Manager, then I clicked on Repair. After repairing I had an option to Upgrade so I upgraded. After that the Digital Portfolio Management app was ready to be installed.
