Unable to update the install_status field for the cmdb_ci_vmware_instance

Hi,

 

I am unable to set the default value for the install_status field which is in the cmdb_ci_vmware_instance" table. I am trying to do this by disctionary override. But resulting as "invalid insert" . But i can do this for the other tables. Could some one help me how to acheive this ?

Hi @snow57 

It should work as the others. Where did you define the Dictionary Overrides?

The right place is that Install Status dictionary record in the Base Configuration Item [cmdb]

@snow57 To clarify - when are you getting the invalid insert message? When trying to add the dictionary override, or setting the install_status of a CI? 
If it is the second one, try to set one manually, and then use the debugging tools to track down where it is failing and giving you the error message.
