Update Agent Client Collector Framework (ACC) - Test on non prod

Hello Community,

We are using the Agent Client Collector for Discovery (ACC‑V) and are planning to upgrade the framework from version 4 to the latest release (currently version 6).

 

As a first step, I would like to update the ACC on our non‑production instances.

However, we are facing a challenge: the ACC is currently connected only to our live instance, where the agents are installed. Our development and test instances do not have any agents configured.

 

What would be the recommended approach to update the plug‑in on the development instance and validate the upgrade before deploying it to the live environment?

Hey,

 

Using the installer you can install multiple ACCs on one machine. I'd recommend you select a set of non-prod servers to run more than one ACC to make sure you can test everything. You should at least be able to do that on the servers running your MID server infrastructure. Ideally, you can widen that to other servers as well.
