What is this table Manual endpoint [cmdb_ci_endpoint_manual]? In our instance we see that there are several records created by 'system' user. Unable to identify the source.
PS - we are not using Service Mapping.

Manual endpoints are created when the 'Update Changes from CMDB' UI Action is used on a Tag-based Application Service or a Calculated Application Service.
So if you have any Tag-based or Calculated App Svc, this is likely where they came from.

You will also see entries created here for anything that you manually add to a map - whether it is a full manual service map, or a top-down (calculated) service where you create a manual connection to a CI, or even accept a connection suggestion.
You will notice that a lot of the entries include the Application Service CI as the "Source CI", although sometimes it might be two other CI's that are a part of the service map. For example, if you discovered a Server from top-down, but it did not pick up a database that the Server communicates to, you could add that DB CI and then relate it to the Server one. That will create an entry in this table. Note though, that if that same server appeared in a different service map, the relationship to the DB will not be displayed - those manul endpoints apply only to the Application Service specified in the "Business Service" attribute of the cmdb_ci_endpoint_manual table
Hope this adds little to your understanding.
Regards,
David
