Asset Management Data Collection

Hi

We are in the Getting Started phase and looking at our current data models before the System integrator comes onboard.

Looking at our current data models and formats a few of the feeds are in different formats, can anyone share a standard data template we can populate to support an Asset Management deployment?

This is the CSDM forum. Your question is kind of relevant to CSDM indirectly but you may get more success posting on the Hardware Asset Management or Software Asset Management forums.

think you're asking for template for data to populate Assets? Which class of Asset as there are many different classes, each with different fields. What do you intend to do with the data? What are your reporting requirements? What will you need to do with the CIs that will be automatically created in the CMDB (depending on the Model Category of the Asset)?

If you're unable to answer these questions then a minimum cut of data is hard to assess.
