Do we define technical services for a vendor supported on prem application?

Hello all,

There is a Tax team in the company who has the business service called Tax services. they use this vendor provided software called 'progress software' which is hosted on prem on a dev and prod windows server. for any issues they reach out to the vendor it seems but not entirely sure. from a CSDM standpoint, we have created a Business Service which is used by the Tax team, but should we create Technical service to manage this Progress software? Since it is vendor supported, we probably do not have the vendor support groups in the system. We will be creating separate Technical Services for the Windows Servers.

Thanks,

Ravish

Hi @Ravish Shetty ,

I would still create technical service and technical service offerings for the "progress software", even though the vendor is not in the system. The reason I would do it is more to indicate from a service catalog perspective which technical service offerings can be expected towards the application services.
