Apparently there are some issues in the latest version av CSDM 5.0 Whitepaper. Like relation types between "Business Application" and "Service Instance" where Whitepaper says it should be Uses:Used by, but that is wrong. It should be "Consumes:Consumed by".
Where can I read of all these errors in CSDM 5. and also make sure that I read the latest version?
Extremely frustrating that wrong information is out and without finding anything about this other then overhearing "btw, this is also wrong".

It has been changed in the model, but has not been "implemented" yet.
Check at 10:36 in "Common Service Data Model (CSDM) Fundamentals" -> "Terminology and Initial Considerations":

...nobody really knew why Consumes had been chosen 🤣

Why seems irrelevant at this point, the relationship type has been defined as Consumes::Consumed by for years. The documentation should present consistent information. Unless there is some clear value delivered from altering, all changing the relationship type would do is incur technical debt that customers must take on, i.e. a waste of time/money.

Maybe @Mark Bodman or @scott_lemm want to elaborate on why this was done?

CSDM v4.0 is Consumes::Consumed by.
CSDM v5.0 is Uses:: Used by.
The platform hasn't yet caught up and as of Zurich, everywhere there is automation (e.g. Suggested CI relationships, App Rationalisation Indicators in EA, Impacted Services in ITSM - see screenshot attached) is hard-coded to use Consumes::Consumed by.
Scott mentioned a migration path on the video shared by @Johannes above but I haven't seen anything yet, so I would align with CSDM v4.0 for now, until something changes. I can't see many customers manually migrating tens of thousands of CI relationships in their CMDB to a new relationship type!
