Establishing Technical Services and Service Offerings

We are looking to establish an initial set of Technical Services and Service Offerings.  Is there available a stock listing of IT services and offerings that a typical IT organization would be expected to provide its customers?  Trying not to start from scratch, show our IT organization examples of base services to get them thinking and then expand from there.

Thanks in advance for any support.

While APQC is a common starter for Business Capabilities, TBM Council is more commonly used for definining your services.  I have seen companies use both as inputs to right size, so sharing both just in case.

For example with TBM, I have seen it where the top half relates more to business service concepts and bottom half technical service.

You define your portfolio, and then the node could be Compute as an example.  Then underneath Compute, you have various services like Mainframe, VM, etc.  There is a really nice deck in NowCreate that at the end has some of these mappings for reference.  Offerings could be based on various things such as locations, OS, etc.

Eric - Thank you for the feedback.  TBM Council link and deck helpful in getting an initial structure put into place.

We also take the structure from the TBM Council to help.

Adi - Thank you for the feedback.  Good to know that the TBM Council worked for you as well.  I  read through the doc and the IT Tower/Sub Tower structure seems like an appropriate place to start.  Thanks again.
