How should the relationship between Business Capability,Application and Service be defined in CSDM?

I intend to follow the CSDM model as much as possible to implement the ServiceNow platform smoothly for the future expansion of the platform at the customer's site.

However, the ServiceNow asset documents from "NowCreate" and the ServiceNow documents themselves are confusing to me.

I would like to receive clear guidelines.

  • What criteria should be followed between NowCreate and Asset?
  • How should the actual relationship be configured?

Can someone please help me?

Below are the materials I have reviewed.

Hi Suhyeon,

I think it is corrected already:
Downloading the current versions shows:

Business Capability = Parent

Business Application = Child

Hi @Suhyeon Lee

I don't get your point as everything looks clear to me. So what exactly are your concerns?

Hi @Barry Kant

I have looking trough the documentation and from what I could find in the official documentation the relationships are opposite (Provided By::Provides), the relationship rules in the CMDB view does follows your updated view (Provides::Provided by)

I was looking trough the CSDM documentation but could not find anything updated to the new relationship rules.

Could you please provide a link to the source of you screenshot?
