LeanIX Alignment with CSDM 4.0

How can we effectively align LeanIX with CSDM 4.0 to establish relationships between Business Applications, Application Services, Business Services, and Technical Services?

 

  • Has anyone successfully implemented this alignment with an existing customer?

  • What are the recommended approaches or best practices for linking these entities within LeanIX and ServiceNow?

Option 1: If you are planning to depreciate LeanIX and make ServiceNow as source of truth, then do one time shift of applications, business services into respective tables.

Option 2: If you are planning maintain sync between ServiceNow and LeanIX. LeanIX is source of truth for the data then use LeanIX connector. Where LeanIX team will push the data to ServiceNow.

 

Recommended steps:
1. Choose option 1 or 2 
2. Map the tables using CSDM framework and guidelines

3. Agree on sync time.

Hi,

 

Thanks for your reponse. 

I am looking something like this. So that I can map the LeanIX meta model with CSDM.

Regarding source truth is LeanIX is used for Business Application and Capablities, however they also have something called Product and Service. But, it is not very clear how to link with Business Service and Technical Service.
