Can we able to hide any values for Lifecycle stage & Lifecycle stage status attributes for CMDB tables?

Hi @perumalselvam ,

Are you looking to hide the fields or the value in the fields?

In general it is recommended not to remove/delete any value from those fields as it might have repercussions elsewhere. But you can try and make them false.

Life Cycle Stage - Refers to the table "life_cycle_stage". Type in "life_cycle_stage.LIST" from application navigator search, you should be able to see the values.

Similarly for Life cycle stage status - Refers to the table "life_cycle_stage_status".

If my answer helped in any way, please mark it as Correct & 👍Helpful

Thanks @Mahathi , I wanted to hide few values from this fields to control users selecting inappropriate values.

Is it also possible to restrict specific to a table example "cmdb_ci_computer"?

The whole point about life cycles and life cycle stages is to set a common life cycle value for all records. This exists because status values have proliferated across different cmdb tables and are not aligned with values. The OOTB status values are already assigned life cycles and you will have set up custom status values with a life cycle stage and status. Once activated these values are automatically selected when a status value is chosen. It is my understanding that users should not be manually selecting lifecycles - choose the operational or install status and it sets the life cycle stage and status.

That is not the intention. You can choose to update the old status fields or just start with the new lifecycle fields. Most important is, that the life cycle mapping is turned on, and that one understands the relationsship between the ne attributes and the legacy ones.

Which is also explained in the Video @Mary Vanatta1 linked.
