"Duplicate of" field

I am trying to populate "Duplicate of" field (of cmdb_ci) on Application Service form ( Table:cmdb_ci_service_discovered).

However after saving the record the field disappears. I have checked every Business rule on it but does anyone has any idea?

I think duplicate of field is used for tracking Duplicate CI's, so custom field creation is the best way to move forward.
